Planted in the 19° century as to stop sand coming in la Presqu’île d’Arvert, this forest hide some buried villages from another time and some blockhaus, last remnants of the Second World War.

Lots of cycling paths and signposted riding or walking tracks allow you to discover safely the forest all year round.

In fact, 35 km of cycling path, following the route of the old disused tramway, go from La Tremblade to Saint Palais sur Mer.
